What problems would this solve? =============================== Often, people create new pages that duplicate existing content, or whose content could easily be added to an existing page. By showing a list of links to pages with similar titles, we may be able to discourage this. Even long-time contributors do this by mistake at times. Who would use this? =================== Anyone creating new pages on MDN. What would users see? ===================== Off to the side of the title edit field, a list of similarly named pages, each linked to the page. What would users do? What would happen as a result? =================================================== While typing a title into the title field, this list would appear. If you got to the editor by going to a non-existent URL, the list would just be immediately presented in that space to the right of the title and slug in the editor. Is there anything else we should know? ======================================
Are duplicate titles/pages really that much of a problem? Or, is it so much of a problem we should do this before any other things? I'd prefer to wontfix this and focus on other stuff...

I actually love this feature of bugzilla and would like to see it in MDN too. But, could we think of a way to measure duplicate pages to see how big the problem is?
I don't think this is a problem big enough to spend time on it for the moment. It surely is a nice-to-have (with a proper UX of course), but I don't see many duplicate pages created.
This is not a big problem. This is strictly a nice-to-have.
