To see all IMAP folders I must single click on the Inbox

(SeaMonkey :: MailNews: Message Display, defect, P3)

Windows NT

Build 1999072011M9: Win32/NT4, Linux/Redhat 5.2, Mac 8.5.1

Overview Description: To view all IMAP folders I must double click on the
account name (i.e. qatest22) which displays the Inbox. Then I must single click
on the Inbox to see all the IMAP folders. I would prefer double clicking on the
IMAP account name and have it automatically show all the folders.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Delete all the msf files in an IMAP account (i.e. qatest22).
2. Launch Messenger and notice the account in the folder pane.
3. Double click onto the account and an Inbox folder appears.
4. Single click onto the Inbox.

Actual Results: All the IMAP folders appear.

Expected Results: After double clicking on the account (i.e. qatest22) I would
like to see all the folders display, not just the Inbox. I'd prefer to avoid
another click if possible.

I would also expect a single click to just highlight the account name and not
display the folders.

I don't believe this is valid. If we have your msf files, we will show you all
the folders when you expand the server. We can't tell you what your folders are
until we connect to the server and discover folders at least once. Every time
after that, we will show you all your folders. This is exactly the same as 4.x -
please let me know if I'm misunderstanding something.

In 4.x after creating a new profile for an IMAP account I noticed that it
automatically shows a server with an Inbox folder. It prompted for a password
and the folders appear automatically. If 5.x responds in the same way then
that's good. Marking Verified.
