Assign platform/OS in Platform and OS fields to the current platform the bug is filed on only when they are empty.

When I file a new bug, I set the platform/OS in Platform and OS fields to the correct values. But they are getting overwritten by the current platform I am filing the bug on.
Please make sure you assign values to these two fields (using the current system architecture/os) only if the new bug has no value in this field.

You can override the platform and OS values from the URL line itself by doing for example:
http://bzweb/bmo/enter_bug.cgi?product=bugzilla.mozilla.org&component=Administration&rep_platform=ARM&op_sys=Gonk+%28Firefox+OS%29
This will auto-fill those two values regardless of the platform/OS the current browser is using.
If those are not provided it will pick the platform/OS of the current browser and autofill those values unless the Bugzilla systems has some other values in it's parameters to be the default.
Can you give an example on how you are trying to override those values and the override is not working?
Thanks
dkl

Hi David,
I am setting the platform and OS fields correctly say for e.g -
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1024747 to ARM and Firefox OS (Gonk) when I entered the bug.
When I clicked on Save Changes. The values in Platform/OS is being saved as - x86 and os to MacOsX based on my current platform I filed the bug on.
This behavior is incorrect as it overriding my correct values with values I don't intend to use.
However, once I create the bugzilla, I can modify these values to the correct data and now when I save changes, my new values stick.
Also, I am unable to access your bzweb url.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks,
Nivi.

I understand what you are saying. I am not able to reproduce the issue using Firefox Nightly on our test environment. What browser/version are you using? I will try to do it with the same.

Does this happen with the customized bmo enter bug form? If yes, then that's a bmo-specific bug, not an upstream bug (I cannot reproduce with the upstream UI).

No reply from the reporter (see comment 5) and neither dkl nor I can reproduce -> WFM.
