1) Create new message 2) Select Edit > Preferences from the menu bar of the new window Now, notice that the focus of the menu bar in the left-hand frame is not set to "Mail And Newsgroup" > "Message Composition" reflecting the contents of the right-hand frame. This happens when creating a new message, or when replying to a message. Each opens a different right-hand frame preference menu, but in neither case is the left-hand tree for the menu set correctly. Setting QA contact to Olgam since she checks the menus and that they perform the correct function. Adding Sheelar to Cc: list because she may be interested.
QA Contact: nbaca → olgam
I see the same 'Message Composition' on the right pane of Preferences without focus set on the 'Mail & Newsgroups' - on all platforms.

No, this time focus is set correctly - when retrieve Preferences from 3-pane. Valid issue - only from Compose window!
Now I add 'nsbeta1' keyword for Buffy. Sorry, it's faster to edit multiple bugs at once than manually go to each and remove minus.
Keywords: nsbeta1
I can't reproduce with 2002122608 windows trunk. Is this still a problem?
using trunk builds 20030107 on winxp, mac osx and linux this is working now. Resolving worksforme and verifying
