In bug 1022569, we discovered that 1.3 GB of background data was unexpectedly used on a user's device with no indication why - it would be good to audit our background services where this usage may have come from. It would be worthwhile to keep the discussion in bug 1022569 in mind while searching for issues.
Blindly auditing may not be useful – let's wait and see if there are problems like bug 1022569.
