(In reply to Jason Smith [:jsmith] from comment #1) > Need to check 1.4 behavior here. Disregard - I see that this mentions this works on 2.0.

Caused by bug 1020045, which will reproduce on 2.0 post uplift of that patch. Switching to 2.0? triage since this will happen on 2.0. UX - Is the current behavior a bug or expected?

Kate and I compared the behavior with other music apps on other devices, and in no instance could you move the page around like that. It doesn't seem to me like the music app would be a good candidate for overscrolling - for me every time I pan down it snaps song list away.

(In reply to Stephany Wilkes from comment #6) > Flagging Gord on overscroll, Jacq on Music. Based on discussion in triage today and we are not quite clear on what the issue is here. The video shows that album screen is dragged down on overscroll and from what Jacqueline was saying that is the expectation. Marcia was absent at the triage today. We need additional info from her on the issue and why is it marked regression. Thanks Hema

If this is expected behavior, we can close this bug. But it is very odd behavior to everyone that I showed the device to. The fact in the music app that you can actually slide the screen diagonally seems strange - that doesn't seem to be the case for other apps.

Overscroll is intended to apply to all scrolling views. We don't selectively disable it. That said, there is a bug with the way the effect is rendered within the music app. I haven't see this in other apps/websites: * Overscroll behavior works as intended in the Grid view. Pull too far and content begins to scroll offscreen/shrink against background from center. * Overscroll on the other 4 tabs is behaving incorrectly. The transform origin for the content seems to be the left side, resulting in content being pinned to left. Needsinfo GFX to help diagnose whether this a platform-level correctness issue or a Music app issue.

Yeah, the weirdness with the left-pinning in the other tabs is being tracked by bug 1027633. Since the overscrolling itself is not a problem I'm going to resolve this bug as invalid, and leave bug 1027633 to track the improper direction of overscroll.
