In most modern Windows (NT, 2k, XP, even 98/Me) different users have different system accounts and do use only ONE profile (thanks to multi mail accounts :-) ) I think, Mozilla should detect that current user has one profile and run good, old, terribly fast Quick Launch Mode; new one is great but in my system (384M, Celeron 366) runs Mozilla in seconds - while the old one run in miliseconds. Such detection could be done dynamic on each system login, or a special sub-checkbox under "Enable Quick Launch Mode" (e.g. "Use single-profile YetMoreQuick Launch Mode"), available if single-profile detected. What do You thing about it? Those old -turbo REALLY blasted Mozilla :-) and don't loose it !

Alek, what build are you using? Are you using one that's recent enough to have the "regain performance lost when we made -turbo support multiple profiles" patch?
Should be fixed by fix for bug 99387.
