For example, if there are two nicks foo and fob, I type: 1. "Hello fo|<tab>" -> gives me an option of which to type, I can either press o or <tab> again to get "Hello foo|" 2. I continue typing "Hello foo/fo|<tab>" -> This should complete directly to "fob" without issue since "foo" was already tab completed. This could possibly get in the way if you wanted to tab complete the same nick multiple times in a sentence though. Maybe re-ordering to prefer the non-tab completed nick is the way to go?

I think it would make sense to not complete several times the same nick at the beginning of a message. But in the middle of the message, I see no reason why one wouldn't want to mention someone who's already in the list of nicks at the beginning of the message.
