Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140605174243

Steps to reproduce:

My FireFox has been on version 13.0 for a very long time. Each time I went to Help -> About Firefox it would say 'Checking For Updates' and then say 'FireFox is up to date'. So, I have thought I had the latest version all this time.

Actual results:

I just decided maybe there was an issue and downloaded a fresh installer to find that it was on version 30! So, I finally updated off of Version 13.0.

Expected results:

It should have found from the update server it was connecting to that it was indeed not the latest version while at version 13.0. I just thought I should report this since there are probably a lot of others stuck on 13 and thinking they have the latest version.
Benjamin, do you know if we can still do some more archaeology as to why Firefox wouldn't be able to find updates in these cases?

Is the new version already installed? If so, probably no archaeology is possible. But if you've still got the old version, rstrong definitely has some things we can try.
