VERIFIED DUPLICATE of bug 7533

People

(Reporter: ppandit, Assigned: rpotts)

Details

Using NT 4.0 and debug build from 7/20/99.

I use a web calendaring service from www.briefcase.com
Everytime I try to login using seamonkey, it fails to log me in.
Instead it simply clears the username and password fields.
Works fine on 4.7 and IE 5.0

Reassigning to Steve.
Perhaps related to Bug 9137? I am able to reproduce the described flaw, in a
like manner to that reported in Bug 9137.
Oh, and... when was v4.7 released?
4.7 will be released when determined ready by sustaining engineering.

Problem is the following assertion failure in nsDocLoader.cpp at line 1565.
Reassigning to Necko team.

           NS_ASSERTION(0, "FIX ME");

There were two problems here...
1. The PostData stream was being release too many times. This caused a crash
the second time a login was attempted. I've fixed this problem.

2. It looks like the form fields are being cleared when the form is submitted.
Target Milestone: M11
I have made this bug (previously undeclared) have a M11 target. If this is not
worthy of beta, then change to another milestone.

briefcase.com now goes by visto.com

Guess what?

It looks like this is a dup of bug #7533 too! If the 'charset=' is removed from
the Content-Type request header the POST succeeds...
