We are transitioning our service to support WebRTC and will thus be able to use Firefox video conferencing capabilities directly without the need for a NPAPI-based plugin.

On RedHat, the path will be /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/npbjnplugin_#.#.###.#.so

Starting this weekend (3/29) the versions will be 2.6.174.8 and 2.6.173.5

What is the difference between the video plugin and the installation plugin? "Installation Plugin" sets off my alarm bells that it allows websites to perform remote software installation, which is questionable and should in general require user opt-in.

the install plugin is used to update the version of the video plugin as we rev the video services on our side.

It is site locked to our domain (bluejeans.com) for security reason.

Just as webrtc will require opt-in to use native resources such as the camera, we believe that the best experience for users in this case is also to require opt-in. Therefore we do not intend to accept this request.
