From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.10 i586; Nav) BuildID: 2001091311 I downloaded Mozilla 0.9.4, and twice it has locked up my computer. Once while being online, and once reading a local HTML-page. There was nothing special about the pages, mostly text on them both. This never happened with 0.9.3. I'm using kernel 2.4.10 and Nvidias drivers. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start 2.Browse 3.Lock up Actual Results: Complete lockup. Could not do anything, pressing the reset button is the only way out. Expected Results: Well, not freezing the computer would be nice.
1. We need clear steps to reproduce or we can't fix such problems (Mozilla freeze at this URL......) 2. Mozilla isn't able to freeze your linux system or a WINNT/W2k System 3. If your system hangs then you have a problem with your Hardware/Software (Kernel) 4. Mozilla can only freeze itself or crash. Maybe your X-Server hangs only ?
Milestone 0.9.5 will be out soon. Maybe you will have more luck with that. In the meantime, why not entertain yourself by reading the bug writing guidelines available at http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html If you still have problems, try creating a fresh profile to see if your problems disappear. Sorry, but we need reproducible bugreports here ---> INVALID
