We should use the Play Store controls to block Android L from our release product. We crash on startup. bug 1030899

Yes let's block
Kevin, I haven't find how to block a specific version of Android on the Play Store (and I haven't find any documentation on this topic). Do you know how to do that? Thanks

Hm thought this might be possible. Though looking at the Google Play developer support there is "Maximum Framework Version (maxSdkVersion)" but it is deprecated in Android 2.1 and will not function. Device blocking is just a binary on and off, correct? Else blocking the recent Nexus line on greater than Android 4.4 would reach most of the affected users.

Seems like the best we can to is relnote and add it to our copy.

I suggest that as the only thing to do here. If you're keen enough to install a preview preliminary pre-alpha build of Android, too bad that apps don't work for you.

They will supposedly be posting new L preview builds which will contain their fix anyways. We need the continued L preview testing afterwards to flush out other bugs before release.
