I'm working in mail a lot with folders and sub folders. I can'T reproduce the
following but it happends some times (aqnd on different machines).
E.g. I created a folder"Tandem Liste" with a filter on it and tested around with
renaimg (bug 97105) and rerenamed it back to "Tandem LIste" since then I have a
folder named 5322e497 that acts exacly like the Tandem Liste folder. Both have
the smae sorting, when one is loaded the other is loaded (loaded=appears
quicker than showing them entry by entry as the first time after mozilla loading).
I have the same problem with a folder I made as a subfolder and deleted it
later. The Twin name was f642eae5.
I hope this helps, if not may be it disapears with solving bug 97105.
To reproduce just try using mail more roughly. Create folders for sorting,
delete them move them renamethem, with or without entries. Always strange things
happen.
