It would be helpful while working with CSS variables to see what their computed value is while testing as well as that they are working as intended.
We could show the computed value for the CSS variable on the sidebar below the media query section, and it could update the value based on the context of the cursor within the Style Editor.

Some sheets have quite a few @media rules, so this couldn't go below it. Maybe the sidebar could be tabbed. That said, I don't think web developers will be using CSS variables for quite awhile.

I don't think this is something we want in the style editor, as css variables computed value depend on the selected node.
We're now showing css variable computed value in the Inspector computed panel (Bug 1834690), which I think is a better place for that information.
