All icons refresh in a smart collection when deleting one

STR: 
* add some icons to a smart collection, 
* then open the collection and delete one

all the (manually added) icons visibly refresh - they disappear then come back in after a second or 2. 

Expected result: 
* Icons just shift left to occupy the empty slot
