Going into or out of search makes the icons (and various other bits of chrome) immediately disappear or appear, rather than smoothly fade (or some other suitable transition).

I don't think I'd block on an animation issue unless it's really jarring on the homescreen.

Hey everyone,

I just did another review of this, and I wouldn't consider it a blocker IMO.  However, I agree with Chris and I think we should get a transition in there if we still can.  A simple fade in/fade out for 2.0 (0.5 seconds), if we can get it in still, would be great.

We can make it better in 2.1 and 2.2.

Chris, Jason, Johan what do you think?  Do we have time to make this simple fix?  It should be very low risk, but will improve the experience.

I'm okay for that small fix on 2.0 and improving in a future version.

This is fixed in 2.1, but we'll need a separate patch for 2.0.

I think this is too late for 2.0 now somehow, just closing as fixed seeing as it's fixed in 2.1.
