What is likely happening is that the textarea is becoming so small that it becomes either hard or impossible to focus.

This was made impossible with the enhancements to the body compose UI in bug 837251 which landed on v1.4. I don't see us being able to uplift that fix to v1.3.0 at this time.

We can likely fashion a small guard/fix to ensure that the textarea never gets impossibly hard to hit.

What may impact this is that I would strongly argue that this is not a blocker since:

- There is limited data-loss since by definition there is no body in the message. If the user just added 100 users to the recipient list, it would be sad for them, however.

- The user needs to clear out the body *and* move the editing focus out of the body. If a user decides to fundamentally change their message/the tone of their message by clearing things out, this seems like a plausible thing to happen.

- Given the limited data-loss, the user can try to back out of the compose and just discard the draft.

Please determine if you must have a fix for this and can get approval for the fix to land. If not, we should probably just dupe this bug to bug 837251.
