In bug 1028192 the hosted Exchange accounts do not automatically/cleanly cope with each account creating a new device id every time. They hit 100 and then fall over dead. The most appropriate mitigation for this problem appears to be to let the test automation explicitly provide us with a device-id to use. It is still on the test automation to make sure each device id gets a distinct id and the number of id's is kept bounded, but this makes it tractable. There is a separate scenario where manual QA testing may cause such a limit to be hit that this bug is not addressing.

[Blocking Requested - why for this release]: I'm told by my QA team that landing this will let us re-enable bug 1028192 and give us activesync testing. can this be prioritized with low risk, low work for 2.1? if not, certainly trunk.

Current ETA on this is next week. I honestly don't think those ActiveSync tests are doing much for us beyond telling us when hotmail has an outage, and whatever the tests will tell us they'll tell us the same thing on trunk (the code won't change in v2.2), so I don't think there's much importance to get this uplifted, but the patchset will be small. Maybe not blocking but worth uplifting?

Not blocking -- will slot this in to sprint 5 and we can request approval for uplift once it's fixed.
