Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4+)
Gecko/20011004
BuildID: 2001100403

Cannot type in URL bar after minimizing one Mozilla window and opening a new one
by clicking an Icon on the desktop.
Clicking on it does not help. Cursor simply does not appear there.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
setup: make sure you have a shortcut to Mozilla on the desktop
1. Open Mozilla window. Make sure you have only one unminimized Mozilla Window.
2. Minimize the open Mozilla window
3. Double click on Mozilla icon on the desktop
4. Try typing in the URL bar

Actual Results: Impossible to type anything in the URL bar. Clicking on it does
not help.
Only changing focus to another window and back makes it possible to type again
Seeing it too on Win2k, build 2001100503
I think I've seen this before though

Reporter: Does this still occur for you with a more recent build?
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-win32-talkback.zip
(as always, be sure to delete your old Mozilla directory before installing the
new version)
Alex: still happens. Same procedure, same result. Now I noticed one more thing
(unfortunately I can't be sure if it was there before).

After you minimize the window, and open a new one by clicking the icon on the
desktop - the new window is not in focus. And then it goes as before: click on
the url bar - impossible to type. You have to change the focus once more to some
other application and back to make it work.

(If one of the Mozilla windows has a focus when you are double-clicking the icon
on the desktop - then everything works fine.)
Shar: Please try a fresh profile. You can manage/create profiles with
"mozilla.exe -profilemanager".
Alex: Created a clean profile. Didn't help.

Actually, today, I also tried it on another win2k machine that never had Mozilla
installed before. The bug's still there.
shar: As it turns out, I don't use Explorer for my shell, so I can't confirm
this bug (I use LiteStep instead).

Matti: Does this occur for you? Please mark NEW if so.
