Filter criteria sender contains not working
Using july22 builds on linux rh5.2,NT 4.0 and mac OS 8.51 The mail filter criteria sender contains doesn't appear to be working on any platform. Couldn't get it to work whether specified as OR or AND. Doesn't work regardless of actions: move to folder, delete, mark read. Doesn't work in single or multiple criteria rule. I've gotten sender doesn't contain to work, but not the positive/contains. 1. Single POP3 account prefs file. 2. rules.dat file in the Mail directory has one filter specified with one criteria for sender contains. File looks like this: version="6" logging="no" name="gone" enabled="yes" description="" type="1" action="Delete" condition=" OR (sender, contains, laurel)" Note: I also tried specifying email@example.com, Laurel, etc. Doesn't work in those cases. 3. Send a message to the 5.0 user from a profile whose sender's email and identity has the specified string.. (I tried sending from laurel profiles on both 5.0 and 4.6, all of which had identity as Laurel Carlson and email user name laurel -- firstname.lastname@example.org and laurel@vadar) 4. Get the message while from the 5.0 user's inbox. Result: the message never is filtered. Doesn't filter upon a second Get Msg, switching to Trash folder and back to inbox, not even after exit and restart. Expected result: should be filtered upon Get Msg so the user never sees it in the Inbox (if action is move to folder or delete).

Oops, operator error. I've been editing the filter files and used "sender" instead of "from" as the criteria line. Sorry. Marking invalid.
