Details

The URL bar seems to drop the last character when sending a search query to
google. Thus if I type "foobar" in the URL bar and hit search, google comes up
with results for "fooba"!

dup of bug 94727 which was fixed one and a half month ago.
Please always verify that a bug still exists in new builds before filing bugs
with builds older than 3 days. Resolving as WFM to avoid spam - this works.
