Details

Our headless Mac mini test slaves used to default to permanently visible scrollbars. In OSX 10.9, the default for headless Mac minis changed to overlay scrollbars and we started running into test failures (see bug 1009726). At first glance, these failures appear to be due to the test media not being aware of overlay scrollbars. As a workaround for now we will manually change the scrollbar setting for 10.9 test slaves in bug 1033650. However, since most of our users encounter overlay scrollbars, we should update our tests to play nice with them and change the default for our test slaves to overlay scrollbars.
