Details
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20011006 BuildID: 2001100610 When I start mail, initially it gave a message to compact folders as the purge limit for free space had been reached.. When u click on OK, it reboots the system within 2-4 seconds. same when u click on cancel.. Later we changed the preferences for disk space to compact folder.. unchecked it for 100 kb.. still when the mail is started. it reboots the system stat. I have 3 pop accounts configured since over 2 months.. problem was with .93 and .94. I have set it to check mail on startup... worked fine for few weeks.. now since a week. it crashes the entire system.. once we managed to get a esc key before it rebooted.. it simply hung up.. we had to restart the PC. Please do something about it stat.. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start mozilla 2.press ctrl 2 3. bang --> system gets rebooted. Actual Results: bang --> system gets rebooted. Expected Results: checked my mail... pop accounts have been configured to check mail on startup. I think I installed MSN Zone (gaming) files around the same time the problem started. I had a few problems with that too.... we got Norton utilities installed.. latest.. and mcafee Viruscan..

This is one of the most bizarre things I have ever heard of. Reporter, could you please try making a new profile and seeing if the problem still exists with that? I didn't even know we had code that would reboot the system at all. Also, could you try a newer build (like 0.9.5) and see what happens then?
Reporter - Can you still see this behaviour with the latest build? You can download a build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/ Delete any files on your computer from previous installations of either Mozilla r Netscape 6, and start with a fresh profile (Run Profile manager from the Mozilla menu in start -> programs, or run mozilla with the command line parameter -ProfileManager) This is almost certainly a problem with some aspect of your PC setup, and not the fault of mozilla. Such a major bug would have had many duplicate bug reports at this stage. Also, neither I nor the person in the previous comment can reproduce this.
