Details
Reproducible on: Firefox 31 beta 8 - 20140707160635 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 latest Aurora 32.0a2 - 20140707004006 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 latest Nightly 33.0a1 - 20140707030202 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Navigate to http://mixedpuppy.github.io/socialapi-demo, click the "Activate Demo Social Service" button and enable the services 2. Select the Demo Social Provider button and click the "external onclick" link Expected results: The panel should close and a new tab should be opened to www.mozilla.org Actual results: The panel remains on the screen while the new tab is loading www.mozilla.org. Notes: 1. The issue reproduces back to Firefox 19.0.2 2. The issue also reproduces using Mac OSX 10.9.3 and Ubuntu 13.04 32-bit 3. The panel is closed for the other three links (external _blank, _social, _none)

Has been in Firefox for a while, we won't be tracking it (we won't block a release because of this bug).

This is expected behavior, the demo provider doesn't close on that link, I need to update the text in the link.
Summary: The social panel is not dismissed when clicking onclick link → fix link text in demo provider to have clear explanations
Sorry, that was my fault. I created the testcase by cloning the test for one of the other links and neglected to update the steps to indicate the panel should NOT close in this instance. I've since updated the testcase so it now reflects reality. Regardless, this doesn't need a bug report as it's not a bug in Firefox.
