Details
In Inspector's source view, if an element is collapsed but it is changing in state, we could indicate changes in collapsed elements in how we show the parent element.

Hm, hard to think of a way to do this elegantly.
The relevant line(s) where children are changing could have their background color change briefly. That seems to be a common pattern for illustrating this sort of change.
