I'd very much prefer to not have to review every single SDK add-on that migrates from the old packaging format to the new one, for the second time. Therefore, the diff viewer needs to handle this eventuality transparently, and diff modules and resources against their previous paths.

are you going to work on this one? I'd be happy to give it a try, could you provide more information about it? What change in the "packaging format" are you talking about?
Yeah, I already have a working patch, I just need to write tests.
