Hey Lucy added me as a coordintor to the launch maker party in London event no 3817 and I received three emails one after the other telling me that I have been added. Plus i received the standard response email to say congrats you have been selected to mentor an event click here to confirm and the link was a dud, as seen in the attachment below. Sarah
What was the email the request was sent to, as well as the event #
Hey It was sent to me, sarah@mozillafoundation.org and the event number is 3817 Lucy@mozillafoundation.org is the person who set up the event page
There doesn't appear to be a request for you to mentor that event. Did Lucy delete the request?
Received at Thu, 10 Jul 2014 19:17:37 BST Hi saraha, You've been selected to be a mentor at an upcoming event called Maker Party: Kickoff London. To confirm your attendance as a mentor, click here. Please note that lucyeoh (the organizer of the event) will know your email address. To decline, click here. (You may also want to let the organizer know you won't be coming.) Thanks! And congrats! :) Amira Webmaker Community Manager
I'm pretty sure the reason it's saying the confirmation link is invalid is because the request was deleted somehow. The unanswered question here is why you received three emails. Were all the emails identical (including the confirmation links)?
Yep, all the emails were sent at the same time and all have the same link to the same event. Would it be any help if I forwarded them to you??
Please do!
After I clued in that I should be digging around for coorganizer requests, I did indeed locate a record of you being sent 4 emails! This is likely due to your username being added that many times on the edit event page. The solution here is to not allow duplicate entries.
Thanks! I will close this ticket now :)
