STR:

1. Configure the phone with a PIN lock.
2. Turn the screen off and back on to get to the lockscreen
3. Have someone send you an SMS.

Expected results:

The contents of the SMS are not visible on the lockscreen.

Actual results:

The phone number and the text message are visible.

As it stands the PIN lock and display of notifications are controlled independently. PIN lock does not affect whether or how notifications are displayed. So the only way to prevent the display of an SMS message content would be to disable the display of notifications on the lock screen from the notifications settings.

I would consider this a new feature request and definitely agree it's needed. There was a recent thread on notifications in dev gaia with lots of other great suggestions that we're planning on reviewing in Portland... So we can include this as well.
