>>Project/Request Title: Social API Activation Design for Snippet >>Project Overview: As part of the goal to drive conversion and Firefox usage, we're testing out the ability for users to activate a Social API right from the snippet (instead of sending them to the activation landing page). The objective here is to make sure we provide enough context to our users that they understand they are activating a feature directly from the about:home page >> Creative Help Needed: Copy: Yes Design: Yes Video: No Other: No >>Creative Specs: We have flexibility on what the experience can look like as long as it's below the search bar on the about:home page. I will attach an idea of a user flow. We will need to experiment with the level of content to provide up front for our users, but a good start is to use https://activations.cdn.mozilla.net/en-US/pocket.html as a starting point of how much info we will need to provide. >>CTA and Design: Start with: https://activations.cdn.mozilla.net/en-US/pocket.html (We don't have assets for Amazon 1Button yet, as far as I know). >>Creative Due Date: 2014-08-08 >>Launch Date: 2014-08-22 >>Mozilla Goal: Firefox Browser >>Points of Contact: jcollings@mozilla.com, alainez@mozilla.com, chrismore.bugzilla@gmail.com, scaraveo@mozilla.com

Thanks Jean. Is the idea still to do multiple versions so we can test? If so, how many versions?

Let's do three versions. One version can be the normal snippet that points to the landing page. The second version can be similar to the attached user flow with "light" content. The third version can be more complex and heavier in details. Sound good?

Do we want to do an expandable version like I was describing yesterday? Something that starts off as a regular snippet but then allows for additional content to appear below? People would still be activating directly from about:home, but the whole thing wouldn't be visible right away.

Maybe then the third version would be the content appears right away (so no snippet).
