Some updates for you JP -
We plan to launch the site towards the end of September and we are thinking to map http://ec2-23-22-243-129.compute-1.amazonaws.com/ to advocacy.mozilla.org on Sept 25(Thursday) 

Note that ^ is still pending for confirmation from MoCo and Dave Steer but I just wanna to give you a heads up.  :)

Hey JP,

We plan to flip the URL on Thursday(Sept. 24).  I need to have a "Coming soon" page built first before we can do the flipping but that page should be ready today or sometime tomorrow.

We can 'soft launch' the site on Monday (9/29) night to prepare for the announcement on Tuesday morning at 9am ET. 

Just confirming that there will also be a redirect from www.mozilla.org/advocacy (this is the URL that we want to use for our marketing and comms.

Mavis, would you please be so kind as to lay out the plan here.  I heard yesterday from Hannah that we needed to show that server (which did have the go-live page) to some press ahead of time.  I can make a static copy of that 'coming soon' and host it on cloudfront for the time being, but please do advise me which date the server "goes live", and what you need until then.  Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion. Mavis and I worked out what needed to happen on Thursday. Now all that's left to do is flip the switch to advocacy.mozilla.org and add the redirect from mozilla.org/advocacy. Some time late today, ideally.

We're about to turn that on.

I've got the SSL setup forcing it, content is looking good.  There were concerns about the Twitter widget, so we've removed that for now.

The redirect is up and working.  All done.
