very seldomly TB will make thousands of HTTP requests

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_4) AppleWebKit/537.77.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0.5 Safari/537.77.4 Steps to reproduce: I monitor web logs , and from time to time, i have TB accessing a webpage making 20000 request per hour ... This happens also at work from well know users Actual results: I usually notice that afterwards ... The web response from the sever is 200 ; there is no HTML automatic reload on the page. This behaviour happens roughly once a month. It is only TB that is affected by that behaviour. Right now i am not able to find the reproductible conditions Expected results: one HTTP request should be enough

sorry, the monitoring itself has nothing to do with TB. I just look at the web log of several web servers. and i observe from time to time that some TB clients do an enormous number of connexions on the web site

You'd need to tell us exactly what http activity is coming from Thunderbird.

ok, difficult to tell, i cannot reproduce it as such , but i will enclose an excerpt of the log file ( when it occurs, TB is retrying always the "GET / " on the server ) I think i have noticed it only for the unix version
