Looking at the code XDamage is used to improve performance but not actually required. It'd be nice to check if enabling the code has any effect at all or on BSDs. However, my testing is stuck on NO_DEVICES_FOUND with webrtc-landing demo. Trying to toggle media.getusermedia.screensharing.enabled doesn't help. In the past TabShare.xpi used to work fine as a substitute for camera.
