RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 315278

People

(Reporter: grgoffe, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140716183446

Steps to reproduce:

I just did an upgrade. to 31.0.

Actual results:

I did the upgrade and it started working but then I got a popup stating "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again."

The reason for the failure appears to have been an out of space condition. I HAD TO GUESS since the update would NOT COMPLETE. I tried several times. SAME BS MESSAGE!

Expected results:

The reason for a failure SHOULD BE INCLUDED so that the user can attempt to take corrective action and retry the update.
