We're over our commit on Dynect... need to try to shrink usage. Haven't ever looked at this, so there's probably some low-hanging fruit.
Attached is usage data from Dynect. Can't get this ourselves at this level of granularity, but we can ask them to run a report now and then.
1) bug 1042405 ... mozorg.dynect.mozilla.net is a big user, moving that is probably enough all by itself.
2) I changed the TTL on addons.dynect.mozilla.net from 60s to 300s, with Jason Thomas's blessing. That only does geo balancing, not failover, so it should be no impact to them but decent caching improvements for us.
3) Many of the top 50 requests are from very similar IPs. *None* of the top 50 are from Mozilla's address space. We might be able to track down what they are and maybe make some improvements. Long shot.
