RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 989230

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140716183446

Steps to reproduce:

http://srufaculty.sru.edu/david.dailey/svg/newstuff/gradient11c.svg

This renders as desired in IE11, ASV and old Opera. The reflected gradient is reflected in Chrome though the parameter values are a bit askew. Not sure if this ever worked in FF. I can't remember.

Actual results:

The gradient is not reflected.
> This renders as desired

What is desired? I see three totally different renderings in Chrome, Firefox, and old Opera..

Yeah! It was the way I would have liked in ASV;) Old Opera does it the same as that except for the graininess of the image outside the radius of the gradient, and is therefore closest -- modern IE handles that aspect, apparently, "properly" I think, though without the animation, it is hard to tell. Firefox just seems to miss the reflection of the gradient altogether. I do, rather, think that it may have been better in a previous version. Sorry: I know this is sort of messy. I'm running through a bunch of old examples recently trying to tidy up loose ends.

The problem is I'm seeing the gradient reflecting off the boundary. What I can't tell is whether you're not seeing that or whether you're seeing that but expecting some other reflection. Again, a clear indication of the expected behavior and how the observed differs from it would be useful.

How about we leave the needinfo attached to this, in hopes that I'll have a chance, sometime soon, to make a simplified version (e.g., without the animation) ?

Fixed in Firefox 33.

Ah, that explains why it was looking all fine to me in a nightly. ;)
