CREATIVE REQUEST BATCH 2, PUBLISH 8/14 - 8/29

(1) Creative Need: Two graphics to accompany social media status, "Share, so the world knows that you stand with us." One for Facebook, one for Twitter, w/ appropriate specs.

Thinking: A shareable graphic that says: "I stand with Mozilla for openness, innovation and opportunity on the web." in ES, PT, DE, GR, ID, PL, HU. (Localized copy to come from M.J. as it is localized.)

(2) Creative Need: A graphic to promote the Firefox OS launch in India aligning w/ India Independence Day. Depending on the partner launch date (still being determined), the copy will either say (1) "Big news! Firefox OS has arrived in India! On this Independence Day, we invite you to experience the free and open Web with a Firefox OS smartphone: [LINK]." or (2) "Celebrate Independence Day knowing your independent smartphone is on its way. Firefox OS smartphones will soon be available in India! [LINK]"

Thinking: Firefox OS fox wrapping its tail around the Taj Mahal, with some sort of visual phone reference (perhaps this visual lives within a visual of the smartphone screen?). Also open to other creative ideas that align w/ iconic India visuals, including a flowing flag of India. 

(3) Creative Need: A graphic to accompany the social copy, "Online privacy is a concern many of us share. Have you invited a friend (or three?) to download Firefox, the most private, trusted, browser available? [LINK]

Thinking: The Firefox logo with a ribbon around it that says "The most trusted Internet company for privacy. " Could use branding from trust campaign graphics (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/trust/). (Localized copy to come from M.J. as it is localized.)

(4) Creative Need: A graphic to accompany the social media status: "From flowers to fractals, sunrises to moonscapes, Firefox has a fun theme for you."

Thinking: MT, could you create an animation showing themes changing?

(5) Creative Need: Graphic that accompanies the social media copy, "Firefox OS puts a beautiful portal to the online world in your hands."

Thinking: Firefox OS fox with a phone that has a beautiful background like this one: http://www.dream-wallpaper.com/nature-wallpaper/rainbow-scenery-wallpaper/1440x900/free-wallpaper-1.html. 

(6) Creative Need: Graphic to accompany the social copy, "Meet some inspiring Mozillians who are championing positive change around the world: [LINK]."

Thinking: I'd like to make the photo from this page shareable on Facebook and Twitter: https://www.indiegogo.com/partners/mozilla. Let's do two graphics: one for Facebook and one for Twitter w/ appropriate specs. 

(7) Creative Need: Graphic to accompany the social copy, "Believe in the Mozilla mission? Want to spread Firefox? Tell the world why Firefox matters by making – and sharing – banners online: [LINK]."

Thinking: Either an image of someone 'sharing' something Firefox with someone else (two humans in real life), or an example of a banner from affiliates.mozilla.org. 

(8) Creative Need: Graphic to accompany the social copy, "Here's a Firefox browser tip: Control+Click keeps your favorite sites neatly available as Pinned Tabs."

Thinking: Navigation bar with 2-3 pinned tabs to the left of 2 full-size tabs. (Note that this is a part of the Firefox Tip series, previously mentioned for the "Page Down" tip in CREATIVE REQUEST BATCH 1. There should be a consistent look and feel with that tip, while still being different enough so as to not cause confusion with consumers.)

Hi guys, I've posted a few of the concepts for batch 2. I am hoping to have the animation (#4) ready for tomorrow. For #7 I am wondering if we can make use of the masthead image found on the Affiliates homepage? http://cl.ly/image/1q0v2x1D1b2Q  I am thinking this could make a strong graphic, and speaks to the Mozilla mission and spreading the Firefox word. Hey MT,

I'm not loving the monotone. Maybe it's the color, but it feels a bit too stark, and I'm thinking the engagement might not be super high. :-/ What can you do to boost it? I like that it's different from all the others, so it'll stand out in that respect. 

I was thinking we could add #TeamInternet to the corner, too.

Thanks for the feedback, MJ. I've reworked this one a bit...it appears cleaner than with the overlay, so I think that works nicely with the 'openness' in the copy.

The India FxOS community had some great feedback on the image. They suggested we go with India's Red Fort for the photo.

Thanks for the suggestion, Eli. I see where you are going with this...it does play up the explain the making and sharing aspect of the banners. I am wondering if we can make the visual a bit more compelling by perhaps blending the icons from your suggestion with the 'strong roaring crowd of people' visual?

I agree with the combination! I also think either one is perfect by themselves if it takes too much time to do that.

Videos are already suppose to auto-play unless the user has edited their video settings and selected ''off''. The past video you made played by itself on my newsfeed when I was scrolling through my feed.

Hi guys, 

I've attached a simple concept for the Affiliates focused post #7.  I've gone back and forth with this one, trying to work what Eli and I had talked about earlier, but found with out the use of all copy on on the page the 3 stats icons from the dashboard get lost. This version I've posted focuses only on the roaring crowd holding various Firefox banners. I think this is a strong visual in itself. Let me know what you think.

Hi MT,

I like this visual, and I get the concept, but I don't think our Facebook audience will connect it to Net Neutrality. It might just be easier to go with my original idea after all. Something simple that says "I'm not neutral on net neutrality." with our logo. I think that will garner more sharing action.
