Details
Tested with Mozilla 0.9.4 on both WinNT and MacOS 9. If the style info resides right in the span tag, the newly added text is styled correctly; if it resides in a style tag, no styling is applied. In either case, the styling of the text that was originally in the span is lost. Clicking the two checkboxes in the supplied URL shows the problem.

WorksForMe Win2K build 2001100903. Reporter, please try a recent nightly build (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/)

Retested with build 2001101203 on WinNT, and it seems to have been fixed. Will check with the latest build before opening bugs in the future. Thanks.
