This meta bug exists to track our efforts to stabilize email for v2.1, particularly so periodic sync is reliable and that when we add new features such as support for forwarding attachments we:
- aren't afraid the new features will break anything/everything
- will have gotten major overhauls out of the way early so that any bugfix uplifts should occur cleanly and without having to completely rewrite a fix for the old code

Resolving this meta bug as WFM since we did the things we were tracking here and we left around Lucas' bug as a more generic meta-bug.
