Hi Arun,

This is another project that is part of the launch campaign.  We need to mock up some screenshots for marketing and PR activities.  Due to the high res quality needed for printing, sometimes very large, screen grabs from an actual device is not good enough.  

We have created a list of the strings needed for the project and they can be found here.  If you have never worked in the SVN environment, you can download it here, localize it, have it reviewed and then upload the file to this bug.  Please note, if the string is the same as English, you can do the following to do away the string, and it will not show up on the dashboard as an outstanding string.

Hi Arun,

We moved the file to here: http://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~pascalc/langchecker/?locale=all&website=9&file=screenshots_tarako.lang.  If you download the file before hands, you can still submit the file here and flod will reconcile it.  However, there are a few new strings since, and I removed some strings not used in Tarako.

See if you can complete it by next Monday August 4.

Hi Arun,

Please work on this file, as several marketing sites and components rely on the "mocked" screenshots to get ready.  Download the files, translate it in a text file.  Once it is done, you can attach it to the bug.  Make sure it is as accurate as you can make it to reduce revision rounds. In addition, make sure the UI strings are short as well.

Based on a similar bug, I think Pei is going to need to know which names are male and which are female (for Contacts).

I do have another question.  Do you know in FFOS Contact (I assume you have a FFOS phone, doesn't need to be a Tarako), if you put several contacts in Tamil, how does the sorting function work?  Does it work at all?  Make sure your language option is in Tamil.  If it does, is it by Tamil alphabet or phonetically, does it sort in Latin (or English) alphabet?

FxOS-9: I believe the Tamil Firefox page isn't up and running just yet, so I'm waiting on that.

FxOS-10: I'll update the Tamil Firefox screenshot here as well, but the 'address bar' at the top is actually a search field where we show the string 'Firefox Start Page', as you have already translated for us.
