I'm maintaining a google calendar on http://training.webmakerprototypes.org, but would rather be pulling from our events API. 

Is there a way to embed an event widget with a certain tag so that I can pull in training relevant MPs, community calls and training events?

EG This is in our events calendar, I am manually putting into the teachtheweb calendar:

You can add tags to events when they're created, say "webmakertraining", and then do a search for that tag to pull up all the events for Training

yes, we started putting "training" as a tag, but I'm wondering if we have a widget so I can pull all events that are tagged that way into the training site.

We don't have a widget for sites to embed that displays events. It's something we'd need to build

Rather than build a widget, what we should do is explore integration between events and further iterations of training.  Given the priorities we have for the summer to refresh login and our existing tech and design debt, going to mark this as wontfix.

Actually, a widget might still be a good idea (but totally understand punting, building it at Mozfest or something). 

I see a definite use case for highly active communities to pull only their events into their community websites (think Mozilla India, for example).
