Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140716183446

Steps to reproduce:

1) Log in to a site with one user name and password and have Firefox save them.
2) Log out and log in again with a different user name and password and save those too.
3) Log out and try to log in by selecting one of the saved user names.

Actual results:

The select user name (and password) are not entered; the field remains blank after selecting it.

Expected results:

The select user name (and password) should be entered.

Notes:
1) This is not site-specific: it applies to all websites
2) if you type the user name manually, the password is automatically filled in as expected.
3) This bug appeared immediately after Firefox upgraded to version 31 (version 30 was fine).
Additional Note:
4) Auto-fill works correctly if only one combination of user name and password is remembered.
This magically started working again immediately after I changed my password for a site. But now it is not auto-filling the password on that site.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Log in and change password for a site.
2) Log out and go back to log in screen.

Actual result:
Nothing is auto-filled and I cannot select auto-fill user name from list, as there is no list to select from. When I enter my user name manually, no password is auto filled.

Expected results:
User name and password auto filled.

As this new issues seems to be directly related to the previous, I am not filling a new bug.
Summary: Autofill broken for login forms when multiple user names are saved → Login form autofill broken
The above comment is partially incorrect: the username and password were not filled in for the site where I changed my password even BEFORE I changed it. Firefox remembered only one combination of username and password for that site, so the auto-fill-not-working issues appears to affect not just sites where I use two or more combinations of username and password. Firefox did ask me to update them after I changed it, so the problem appears to be in auto-fill, not in the storage of usernames/passwords (I checked: they all seem to be there in the password storage settings dialog).
Do you have any add-ons installed, like "Remember Passwords" (see bug 1044080)?

Please try safe mode, which disables all add-ons temporarily: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Sorry for the delay, holidays, kids, that kind of thing.

Unfortunately, disabling add-ons has no effect on this issue.
I've since moved to a different machine and synced all my data from the original machine. The new Firefox install on the new machine exhibits the exact same issue.

Hello, could you provide the logging information described at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:Password_Manager_Debugging

Wow - I was going to respond as soon as I had some time to do so.... it's now 9 months later. :(

Today I found that this problem has magically disappeared. I'm closing the issue.
