Using a linux CVS pull from 3 hours ago (2001101319):

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new mail message.
2. Save it as a draft.
3. Open the message from your drafts folder
4. Send it.

"Edit draft" still appears in the right side of the lower pane.  The message is
no longer in the drafts folder and can't be edited.  After sending the mail, the
button should use some DOM magic and disappear.

Just noticed this with Build#201112603, don't know how long it's been a problem:
After clicking on my empty Drafts folder, then returning to a normal message
folder (like the Inbox), the <Edit Draft> button displays for every message I
click on, and it appears to be active. I can click on it and have current
message show up in the message composition window.
Is this the same bug, or a new one?

More info:
I just tested again by composing a new message and saving it in the Drafts
folder (after restarting the mail/news client). When I clicked on mesasge in the
Drafts folder, the <Edit Draft> button did not display at all. I could
double-click the message and open it in the compose window, but the <Edit Draft>
button never appears. 

However, if I delete the message from the drafts folder, then restart the
mail/news client with an empty Drafts folder, then click on the EMPTY Drafts
folder, then click on another folder with messages, and click on a message, the
<Edit Draft> button appears on the existing message.

Ditto on build 20011130 V 1.2.1 Mac platform. 

Send message
Move message from sent folder to drafts folder
Select drafts folder
Select message
Press edit draft button
Change recipient
Send message
Message remains in drafts folder
Select Inbox folder
Seect another message
Fully functional edit draft button now available in all folders.

Addendum:

Get new messages resets.

This has been fixed in Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5a (20031223).

Both the steps described in the Description as in comment #4 have been solved.

What now happens is that the message is removed from the message list pane (top
right) and the message preview pane is cleared and does not show anything:
neither the headers, nor the Edit draft button nor the message body.
