1047430 - FF 32 BETA2 will not upload movies to the "Internet Archive" site. It freezes.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to https://archive.org/ 
2. Click on upload
3. enter a movie
4. FF freezes
No problem with FF 31


Actual results:

Movie froze.


Expected results:

Movie, VCD/mpg, should have uploaded without issue.

I'm not able to reproduce the freeze with FF31+.

Could you test:
1) in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
2) with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Does Firefox 32 freeze in both cases?

It made no difference. FF 31 does not have the problem, FF 32 beta's do. I did exactly what you said in your email- both ways-no soap!

Do you have some plugins provided by antivirus vendors e.g.? In some cases, they can block file uploading, especially if they are not compatible with a future version of Firefox.

Could you paste the list of your plugins, please.

Another file will be uploaded as you only provide for single file uploads. PluginsA is its name. Something has changed between FF 31 & FF 32. What in that change area could have caused the problem, is the question to ask? I do not want to be stuck with FF31 forever.

You're probably right, the progress bar doesn't increment with FF32, but does with FF31.
I guess the freeze is related to that too.
As a patch has been written for bug 1044584, I'll wait before closing this bug as dupe.

Beta 4 hits the floor. FF 32 cannot upload to Vimeo Internet Archive and no doubt others. If not fixed, it's sayonara FF, buen venidos Chrome.

Of course it's not fixed because if it's a dupe of bug Bug 1044584, this one is not fixed.

Jospeh: Could you by any chance test it in today's Nightly? The linked bug got fixed, so there's a change this one is fixed now too.

I tested myself, the UL progress bar is not updated in FF32, but it's fixed in the last Nigtly.

I understand that the bug was fixed in a Nightly. So, please tell me when  the fix will appear in 32 beta or perhaps in 33?
