User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140716183446 Steps to reproduce: Trying to enter forum http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewforum.php?id=4 clicking on any posted article leads to failure message Sorry the page could not be loaded... This failure occures on W7 64bit only in my dual boot System while WXP runs well. Both systems using the same user profile for firefox settings exportet to my documents. Closing Antivirus or firewall does have no effect. Sometime the failure occures even when trying to open the forum page Actual results: Sorry! The page could not be loaded. This is probably a temporary error. Just refresh the page and retry. If problem continues, please check back in 5-10 minutes. Expected results: I should read the postings in that forum

I tried to reproduce it with windows 7 64 bit and on Firefox 31. It happened exactly as the way the reporter said but tried with same Firefox in windows 8.1, I could not reproduce it.

The short discussion at http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=90121#p90121 shows: * at least 2 people have the problem with the ISP called "Free", which uses an ADSL modem called "Freebox" <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freebox>, with Windows 7 64 or 32, but also with _Mac OS X_, and on _different browsers_. * one person with Free does not have the problem. Somebody mentioned the problem at the PunBB forum: http://punbb.informer.com/forums/topic/26506/rme-forum-trouble-shooting-issues/, and was asked to "check web server error logs and/or enable debug in forum config.php". Reporter and anyone else who can reproduce the problem, are you by chance using ADSL, Freebox or an ISP related to Free?

I am using ADSL and I could reproduce the bug with ADSL connection only. I tried my another device which was not connected by ADSL. there the bug could not be reproduced.

My internet connection is DOCSIS 3.0 based (Kabel Deutschland, via cable TV network, not ADSL. On the other hand I use oftenly another PunBB-based forum http://www.tonthemen.de/index.php, which runs well without showing those failure notices on the same W7 64-bit system with Firefox 31.
Starting at beginnig of february 2015 I could follow postings under forum http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewforum.php?id=4 very well up to today after update to firefx 36.0 as the message "Sorry! The page could not be loaded. This is probably a temporary error. Just refresh the page and retry. If problem continues, please check back in 5-10 minutes." appears agin when I tried to look for postings - I was so lucky that it runs well at least, but now it is agin bad.
Same problem here. Firefox 43.0 x64, Win8.1 x64, Telekom DSL (IP based) via Speedport Entry 2 If I remember correctly it started happening after deleting all saved cookies. Before that it was working fine. Never had this problem before.
Workaround: -> set network.dns.disableIPv6 to true -> login (to save the cookies) -> set network.dns.disableIPv6 back to false => working fine again
Thanks! email@example.com For me that seems to be the solution, Firefox about:config network.dns.disableIPv6 to true and RME Forum works again after failure messages in 2014!!
Seems to be fixed. Just tried with Mozilla Firefox 45.0.2 and it's working now without workarounds!
