Details

The email-style validation for the id field is quite restrictive. It will reject many valid email addresses. Let's loosen up this regex. See Wikipedia's descriptions [1] of email format for more info.

It looks like this is the regexp that the Firefox add-on manager uses, so we need to keep it.
