Come up with a short humourous description what the idea of free software is about.

I'm going to go out on a limb and resolve as WONTFIX.

Like with icecream, the value of software freedom is indisputable, but its presence as YAAP (yet another about page) is probably best served by an add-on ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/abouticecream/ - which yes, we should update sometime).

Plus, I can already imagine the endless color-of-the-bikeshed diatribes about what the exact wording of the page should be...

Well, looks like you don't like it.
Oh, sure you can have fun by writing an extension for this - nobody stops you and it's free code.
But in core, maintenance of code comes with a cost.
