User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140801082634 Steps to reproduce: I have a website in me bookmarks, let's say it's "firefogg.org". In the awesome bar, I write "firefog" without the end (I choose in the autocompletion). It offers me to go to firefogg.org (with the blue star), cool this is what I want. But I want to open twice, because... I'm the boss, and I want this. So I open a second tab, I write "firefog" without the end. Actual results: I'm waiting for the same choice : to open firefogg.org twice. But, the only choice I got, is to go to the first tab. No choice to open again firefogg.org :( Expected results: I would like the awesome bar offers me to open again the bookmark, event it's already opened in another tab. Unfortunately, I cannot put screenshots because the results of autocompletion doen't appears in screenshots.
I use version 33 (Aurora) but I have the same issue with the stable versions.
The feature is called Switch to Tab and it's here since Firefox 4. You should use the support forum instead of Bugzilla, you would find more help. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/786551 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1977593 And the best solution is using this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/switch-to-tab-no-more/

Not convinced. I don't want to disable the Switch to Tab function, I want to choose between switching tab OR open again the bookmark. But in the second tab, the bookmark is not displayed in the autocompletion list.
Follow this tip: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/991404#answer-547602 By pressing Alt or Shift, it'll work.
