User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140715214327 Steps to reproduce: 1. go to any website with a login page, 2. enter username and password, 3. agree for FF to save password, site login completes successfully. 4. logout of website. 5. change login password via email (forgotten password reset, etc...) 6. revisit website login page in FF, old login details are autofilled 7. enter new login details (new password) site login completes successfully with new password. 8. logout of website 9. revisit website login page in FF, old login password is autofilled again (FF didn't remember the new password and autofills with the old password) Actual results: old login password is autofilled each time the website login page loads. Expected results: FF should save a new (or changed) site login password (or username) if entered (like desktop version).
also, I don't use Sync...
Can you please tell me what device and Android version do you have? Also what Firefox version and if you can reproduce the issue on latest Nightly for Android (http://nightly.mozilla.org/)?
This is on an Asus tablet TF300TG (Transformer Pad) with Android 4.2.1 The Firefox version is 31.0 Haven't tried the nightly build (yet). I will attempt to do so when I figure out how... :)
I've installed the nightly build. I'll need to test it. Should know by this time tomorrow.
OK, nightly build does not appear to have this problem. If I change a saved password, it remembers the new one. The version for this build is 34.0a1 (2014-08-06). So, does that mean no more bug? ;)
Yep. Thanks for checking. The fix will be in a future release.
