I do wonder. I made a few other patches blocking the one for the system app. Gerard-majax has also done some tests with the one on the system app and tells me it reduce some of the allocated ion memory.

This set of patches is pretty safe, so I wonder if we should not take all of them on 2.0 and get some measurements.
